After our successful Premier League contest we’re going to try to end in the green zone again in the official Sunday La Liga contest. Four games involving eight different teams, but without Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, what makes things even more interesting.
Athletic Bilbao will play Eibar at home but without Aduriz, Raul Garcia and De Marcos, honestly I’m not sure who has more chances to win this game, usually San Mames is a difficult stadium.
Las Palmas visits Alaves stadium after wining last week against Bilbao, if Viera and co. are in good shape they actually have a good chance of bringing the 3 points home, but I’m sure Pellegrino will do his best to prevent the situation.
Sporting Gijon will try to get out of the relegation zone against an Osasuna that’s now the last team in La Liga ranking, two teams with many problems when it comes to scoring, we’ll see what happens.
Valencia will play Malaga at home and will try to win a game again after more than 4 weeks. Nani will be out and so will be Sandro for Malaga, it’s going to be an interesting game to watch since anything could happen. Will Valencia finally wake up? They definitely have the players to do it.
La Liga player picks
Diego Alves: Without Sandro Malaga loses their strength upfront, I expect Valencia to be able to contain Malaga’s attacking players tomorrow. Clean sheet for Diego.
Diego Marino: Osasuna is last right now, almost all their attacking options are going to be on Roberto Torres shoes assisting to one of his teammates. Gijon doesn’t have an excellent defense but I don’t see Osasuna scoring away right now.
Kameni: If and only if Valencia does not have a good day, Kameni can be a great pick for tomorrow. I honestly don’t think Malaga will get a clean sheet but I expect Kameni to make lots of saves. I’m also including him since he’s the cheapest decent Goalie in the contest.
Douglas: 5-3-3 system, set pieces, attacking defender.
Cancelo: You’ve seen Cancelo play the last couple weeks right? There you go…
Siqueira: If you want a Valencia defender and don’t have the budget for Cancelo, give Siqueira a chance.
Viera: Las Palmas best and most creative player. He’ll also be involved in the set piece actions tomorrow. Not an easy game in Alaves stadium but I still expect him to make things happen tomorrow.
Pedro Leon: A must, set piece taker and averages more than 13p / game. He’ll be playing a weakened Bilbao, I expect him to have a couple chances to score tomorrow.
Parejo: Valencia’s soul. Playing in the whole with almost all set pieces for him.
Ibai: Same profile as Pedro Leon but maybe a little bit less involved in the game for Alaves. He’s also cheaper than Leon so he could be a good second option for those that don’t have enough budget.
Rodrigo / Munir: I honestly only see this 2 players in the ”9” position with options of actually doing something tomorrow.
